By using Yours, you acknowledge and accept the following risks:

1. Stablecoin Risk

USDC is a stablecoin pegged to the US Dollar, issued by Circle Internet Financial. However:

• USDC may temporarily or permanently lose its peg to the US Dollar
• The issuer may face liquidity, regulatory, or solvency issues
• USDC value may fluctuate relative to GBP due to exchange rate movements
• Regulatory changes may affect the availability or status of USDC
• Past stability does not guarantee future performance

2. Blockchain & Network Risk

Transactions on the Solana blockchain:

• Are final and irreversible once confirmed
• May experience delays due to network congestion
• May fail due to network outages or technical issues
• Depend on the continued operation of the Solana network
• Are subject to validator consensus and network governance decisions

3. Technical & Security Risk

Using digital assets involves technical risks including:

• Loss of access to your wallet if you lose your recovery phrase
• Device theft, loss, or compromise leading to unauthorised access
• Phishing attacks, social engineering, and malware
• Smart contract vulnerabilities or exploits
• Software bugs or unintended behaviour

4. NFC Payment Risk

When using NFC tag payments:

• NFC tags can be physically tampered with or replaced by malicious actors
• Always verify the merchant identity and wallet address before confirming payment
• Ensure the payment amount is correct before sending
• NFC tags at unattended locations carry higher risk

5. Device & Access Risk

• Loss or theft of your device may result in unauthorised access to your wallet if biometric security is not enabled
• Always enable Face ID or Fingerprint authentication
• Never share your 12-word recovery phrase with anyone
• Store your recovery phrase securely offline

6. Regulatory Risk

The regulatory environment for cryptoassets in the United Kingdom is evolving. Future legislative or regulatory changes may:

• Restrict or prohibit the use of certain cryptoassets
• Impose additional compliance requirements
• Affect the availability of the Yours platform or its features
• Require changes to how services are provided

7. Exchange Rate Risk

The Yours platform displays GBP equivalents using real-time exchange rates. These rates:

• May differ from rates offered by exchanges or other platforms
• Can change rapidly between the time of display and transaction confirmation
• Are provided for informational purposes and do not constitute a guarantee

8. No Financial Advice

Yours does not provide investment, financial, tax, or legal advice. You should consult qualified professionals before making financial decisions involving cryptoassets.

9. No Consumer Protection

Cryptoassets are not protected by:

• The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)
• The Financial Ombudsman Service
• Any government deposit guarantee scheme

If you lose your cryptoassets, there is no public body to compensate you.
